Centerpiece Film Announcement: SWIFT. SILENT. DEEP.

The Jackson Hole International Film Festival is thrilled to announce our centerpiece film for 2025 — SWIFT. SILENT. DEEP., presented in partnership with Coombs Outdoors.

First released in 2009, SWIFT. SILENT. DEEP. is the first true historical documentation of hardcore ski culture in the United States. Rereleased for a community screening, the 83-minute film explores the roots of North America’s most infamous ski fraternity, the Jackson Hole Air Force, and the beginnings of the modern American ski bum. This groundbreaking film planted the seed for the extreme skiing movement and remains a must-see for every skier in America. Directed by Jon Klaczkiewicz.

Join JHiFF for a night celebrating ski culture and community. Doors open at 5:00 PM, featuring book sales and signings by prolific photographer Wade McKoy (The Arc of Skiing Jackson Hole: 45 Years Behind the Lens), along with limited-edition JHiFF poster sales. The film begins at 5:30 PM.

This special screening captures everything Jackson Hole stands for, adventure, passion, and the enduring spirit of the mountains. Don’t miss this celebration of ski history at the heart of the 2025 Jackson Hole International Film Festival.
