THE LAST FIRST:
A NIGHT ON K2

Join JHIFF for a special summer screening of The Last First: Winter K2, an Apple Original Film from acclaimed documentary filmmaker Amir Bar-Lev. Set against the extreme altitude, unpredictable weather, and unforgiving terrain of K2, the film examines the evolving world of high-altitude mountaineering through a story of ambition, strategy, class, power, determination, and survival.

Held at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, the evening includes the screening, an audience Q&A with the director moderated by JHIFF Creative Director David Nugent, and a reception following the program.

In the Tetons each winter, the Jackson Hole International Film Festival presents bold films in an environment where place, season, and community influence how filmmakers and audiences experience them together.

JHIFF envisions a future in which film is an essential part of cultural life. By creating open spaces for artistic ambition, boundary-breaking storytelling, and unexpected encounters, filmmakers and audiences experience films together as lived, shared, and transformative.
